Love the pictures! Any other buildings in the town?

Debbie, it’s a small, mostly residential town (homes, churches, fire station, etc.) – it’s exceptionally well kept with the exception of the dilapidated abandoned buildings. Very quiet and friendly, but not much else as photogenic as these.

My Grand Parents and Father lived in Lebanon back in the 20’s 30’s and 40’s. My Grand Father, who died before WW2, was a mail carrier and delivered mail on a Indian Motorcycle. My Grand Father was also an itinerate lay-preacher back in the day, and I believe that at one time the family owned a barber shop, too- Starr’s Barber Shop(back in the 30’s maybe?). I understand that my father, who died in 1960 when I was 6, was a gunners mate in the Navy during WW2. I have a picture of him on an Island in the Pacific cutting hair in what looks like a tent or tarp in the jungle.
My wife and I drove through Lebanon back in the 90’s; we stopped at the library (it was in the basement of one of the old buildings, If I recall correctly). I looked at some old copies of the Newspaper “Lebanon Times” I believe it was called, and wished I could have spent time learning more about my family and the town. I’m sure there are some great stories to be told. The older I get the more I wish I knew more about what my “People” were like-hopes, dreams, beliefs and personalities.
If anyone has first- hand knowledge ( or second hand!) of Lebanon let me know. I’d love to hear anything about the town and it’s people. Thanks!
